Working of Magnetic Separator
The Magnetic separator is designed for high magnetic pull with large number of magnet sandwiched in between mild steel disks. Magnetic separator is driven by a 3 phase, induction motor through a reduction gear-box. The power transmission from gearbox to magnetic roller drum is by flexible coupling. The details of the drive are given in the data sheet provided in the Instruction Manual.
The contaminants are removed from magnetic roller by scraper blades and collected in dust collection tank with the help of scraper tray.
The clean coolant coming out from the bottom of the magnetic separator is allowed to fall on a main tank / Paper band filter.
